01 · The Vision

The original vision

How might we redesign the way people live together? Frequency Village was originally conceived in Barcelona in 2018 — an expansive vision spanning land, community, learning, wellbeing, culture, enterprise and regeneration. The work since has been to steward that vision through successive chapters without losing its centre.

Not a venture that relocated — a venture stewarded through three chapters: origination in Barcelona, development and activation in the Azores, and evolution within the wider Frequency ecosystem in Australia.

The Australian direction is the next expression of the underlying vision — shaped by what was learned through Barcelona and the Azores. Today, Frequency Village is evolving within the wider Frequency ecosystem, alongside FrequencyOS, its membership structure and the emerging real-world village pathway in Australia.

The challenge

What stood in the way

How do you hold a vision spanning land, community, learning, wellbeing, culture, enterprise and regeneration without reducing it — and without losing its centre as it evolves across countries?

The thinking

The strategy beneath the work

The venture was organised through whole-systems thinking: an ecosystem architecture connecting place, events and supporting ventures, participation pathways, and a community model — so each chapter could evolve the expression without abandoning the underlying vision.

The evolution

Stewarded through chapters

  1. 2018

    BarcelonaOrigination

First principles, early vision, research and initial strategic development.

  2. 2020–2025

    The AzoresDevelopment and activation

The development and evolution of the venture's strategy, naming, identity, website and communications — alongside village and facility concepts, whole-systems thinking, community experiences and participation pathways.

  3. 2026–present

    AustraliaEvolution within the Frequency ecosystem

The next expression of the underlying vision — evolving alongside FrequencyOS, its membership structure and the emerging real-world village pathway in Australia.

02 · The Creation

What was brought into coherence

  • Venture and systems strategy: vision, ecosystem architecture, whole-systems framework and participation pathways
  • Brand and communications: naming, identity, verbal system and public narrative
  • Digital and activation: website strategy, UX, Webflow development, events and community pathways

The identity

The symbol

The identity is built around two fields meeting.

Their overlap creates a third shared field: a visual expression of resonance, relationship and collective emergence.

Frequency Village is represented not by a building or a boundary, but by the quality of connection created between people.

03 · The Shift

What became possible

An expansive vision spanning land, community, learning, wellbeing, culture, enterprise and regeneration became a coherent venture ecosystem with its own strategy, identity, digital home, frameworks, events and pathways for participation.

The proof

What this project demonstrates

  • Holding complexity

Organising an expansive and interconnected vision without losing its centre.

  • Designing across systems

Connecting strategy, frameworks, identity, digital, events, community and place.

  • Stewarding evolution

Allowing the venture to mature across three countries while preserving its deeper purpose.
